Players often create their trademark celebrations, but Simranjeet Singh captured the imagination of cricket fans during the Asia Cup match against Pakistan. The United Arab Emirates spinner combined Imran Tahir and Shikhar Dhawan to pull off a memorable celebration after picking up his third wicket.

‌In a must-win game for both sides in the Asia Cup T20 2025 campaign, the United Arab Emirates sent Pakistan in after winning the toss in Dubai. The Men in Green had a horrendous start, losing both openers cheaply with the score reading 9/2 within the third over.

However, Fakhar Zaman put his head down to help the side recover as he added 61 runs along with Salman Agha for the third wicket. But Pakistan collapsed again after captain Salman was dismissed in the 11th over.  Left-arm spinner Simranjeet Singh, who was reintroduced for his third over, struck immediately.

He removed half-centurion Fakhar, inducing a false shot from the set-batter in the very first ball. The spinner then did the famous Shikhar Dhawan celebration as he beat his inner thigh before raising his finger. He repeated the celebration after dismissing Hasan Nawaz, who was trapped in front of the wicket, two balls later

He again struck with the first ball of his last over as Khushdil Shah holed out to deep mid-wicket. But this time, the spinner was pumped as he completed a long sprint before pulling out the thigh five celebration. Twitter was charged up too as the left-arm spinner combined Imran Tahir and Dhawan in a memorable celebration.

What a day for him!

Brillaint!
