The ‘number two’ Rangpur Riders will take on the struggling and ‘down and out’ Central Districts in the 10th game of the ongoing Global Super League 2025. It will be a dead rubber, but both teams will be looking to finish their league stage run on a winning note before the tournament's final.

After registering three consecutive wins and qualifying for the tournament’s summit clash, the in-form Rangpur Riders will face the ‘number five’ Central Districts in the 10th fixture of the ongoing Global Super League 2025. The game will be played at the Providence Stadium in Guyana on Thursday, July 17, 2025.

The Riders are coming off three wins and two defeats in their last five games in the tournament. They are currently placed in the second spot on the tournament standings, with three wins and three defeats in their six games so far. While the game would not have any impact on the summit clash, a win will give them confidence in the final.

On the other hand, the Central Districts have already been knocked out of the tournament owing to their dismal run so far. They have won only one game while losing two in their three fixtures so far. They will aim to end their journey in the second edition on a winning note.

CD vs RAR Head-to-Head in T20S

Pitch and Weather

The surface at the Providence Stadium in Guyana is known for its balanced nature, with a slight inclination towards the batters in the first half of the game. However, the bowlers (mostly spinners) might get some going here as the game progresses to the second innings. The average first-innings score here has been 151, while the overall average score is 137. So, the toss-winning skipper might opt to bat first and defend the target under bowling-friendly conditions in the second half.

The weather around the start of the game will be quite cloudy with some showers expected. The minimum temperature will be 24 degrees Celsius, with the maximum temperature of 29 degrees Celsius. There might be some rain interruptions during the game.

Team News

Both teams are coming off wins in their respective last fixtures, so Central Districts and Rangpur Riders will be looking forward to going with the same playing XI they played with in their last games.

CD Probable XI: Will Young, Dane Cleaver (WK), Dean Foxcroft, Tom Bruce (C), Curtis Heaphy, Matthew Forde, Josh Clarkson, Jayden Lennox, Angus Schaw, Blair Tickner, and Ajaz Patel.
