ENG vs IND | Twitter pumped up as Mohammed Siraj gives Duckett feisty send-off

Fast bowlers often wear their hearts on their sleeves, and Mohammed Siraj will be the first name that comes to mind in that list. The pacer showed that yet again during the Lord’s Test to dismiss England opener Ben Duckett, after getting hit for a four, giving him an unceremonious send-off.

‌With tempers flaring up in the only over that England batted on the last day, it was unsurprising that the Indian team looked charged up as the game proceeded on day four of the Lord’s Test. Mohammed Siraj was in the thick of action yet again as he and Jasprit Bumrah had the home side in all sorts of trouble with the new ball.

Siraj had a close LBW call against Zak Crawley that missed the leg stump while Bumrah troubled him with the uneven bounce with a caught and bowled chance just falling short. But fellow opener Ben Duckett decided to take on the Indian pacers as he scored a boundary off an audacious scoop shot off Siraj.

The southpaw moved away from the stumps to play it finely to the fine leg boundary, literally over the keeper’s head. But the Gujarat Titans pacer was not someone to get bogged down as he came back with a stunning riposte a ball later.

With the pacer bowling a short of a length delivery around middle and leg stump, Duckett went for the pull but could not time it as the ball went straight to the mid-on fielder. The pacer was super thrilled as he came towards the batter before yelling, “Come on” at his face and went past him with a shoulder bump.

Twitter was pumped up as his teammates rushed to congratulate the bowler.
