‌IND vs ENG | Twitter reacts after Hardik Pandya’s jaw-breaking bumper draws blood from Ben Duckett

Sports person are no less than army personnel if compared to the amount of toil their body has to go through. England batter Ben Duckett perhaps had a taste of it when Hardik Pandya’s nasty bumper left him bloodied in the second T20I between India and England at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.

Like the first T20I, Suryakumar Yadav, the India captain elected to field first after winning the toss to capitalise on the dew later. Arshdeep Singh and Hardik Pandya donned the new ball against the Three Lions openers with the former drawing first blood in the opening over after baiting Phil Salt. Exerting additional pressure on the visitors, Hardik left Duckett bruised in the second over before the physio strolled in.

After a slower one to start the second over, Hardik mixed up with a sharp bouncer to Duckett who failed to connect an intended pull. He was beaten on the outside edge and the ball thwarted his helmet grill, leaving him unpoised. Right after, the physio hurled into the field and assessed the batter. The southpaw was gesturing near his jaw bone and some minute blood was seen oozing out from his face, leaving the Twitterverse abuzz.

Unlucky Duckett, helmet's brutal wake-up!
