The New Delhi Tigers and the North Delhi Strikers will cross swords in the last league match of the ongoing DPL 2025, which will also be a virtual quarter-final. The winning side will qualify straight away for the tournament’s playoff stage, surpassing the Superstarz for the fourth spot.

New Delhi Tigers started their campaign with a 40-run win against the Outer Delhi Warriors. But then came a big slump in their performance, and they faced five consecutive defeats in the next five games. This string of defeats started with a nine-wicket loss against the Central Delhi Kings, followed by a seven-wicket defeat against the East Delhi Riders. Later in the next game, the Tigers faced a massive 10-wicket defeat against Purani Delhi 6 before losing to the Superstarx by three wickets. In their game against the West Delhi Lions, the Tigers faced a defeat by 15 runs (DLS) in the rain-affected game. However, they made a good comeback after enduring five straight defeats in a row. They defeated the Strikers by eight wickets before winning against the Warriors by seven wickets. In their recent game against Central Delhi Kings, the Tigers registered a huge victory by nine wickets in the six-over game due to rain. A win in the last league match against the Strikers will propel them to the fourth spot, ensuring a playoff spot for them.

On the other hand, the North Delhi Strikers’ journey has been a roller coaster, with three wins, four defeats and two no-result games. Their campaign started with an eight-wicket defeat in their first game against Central Delhi Kings. Following this defeat, they registered three consecutive wins against Outer Delhi Warriors, Purani Delhi 6, and West Delhi Lions. But their downfall started afterwards, and they faced three consecutive defeats against Central Delhi Kings, New Delhi Tigers, and Outer Delhi Warriors before their recent two games were abandoned due to rain. So, they will also aim to qualify for the playoffs with a win in this game.

NDS:  L L L NR NR

The Strikers are morally down compared to the Tigers ahead of this game. They have lost three matches in a row before two no-result games in their last five DPL 2025 games.

NDT vs NDS Head-to-Head in T20S

New Delhi Tigers and North Delhi Strikers have faced each other only on one occasion, and that was the 26th game of the ongoing DPL 2025. The Strikers won by eight wickets in that game, and they are leading by 1-0 in this head-to-head rivalry.

Pitch and Weather

The surface at the Arun Jaitley Stadium is expected to be a flatter one, aiding the batters mostly in the second half of the game. The chasing side might get more benefit owing to the dew factor coming into the picture.

The weather in Delhi on Thursday will be partly cloudy, with the chances of thunderstorms. Rain interruptions might also reduce the number of allotted overs. The temperature will hover around 32 degrees Celsius.

Both New Delhi Tigers and North Delhi Strikers might avoid the last-minute experiment in their playing XI for this must-win game. So, there might be no changes in the playing XIs of both teams.

NDT XI: Shivam Gupta(w), Lakshay Thareja, Himmat Singh, Dhruv Kaushik, Deepak Punia, Parth Bali, Pankaj Jaswal, Prince Yadav, Rahul Chaudhary(c), Aatrey Tripathi, and Pradyuman Sanan.
