Last season's semi-finalists, North Delhi Strikers, are set to take on tournament debutantes Outer Delhi Warriors on August 6 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. The battle of the pace-bowling captains is set to take place as Harshit Rana and Siddhant Sharma will be going head-to-head in the upcoming game.
The Delhi Premier League 2025 might have just started, but there are still some iconic games to look forward to in the tournament. The second game on Wednesday will feature last year’s semi-finalists, North Delhi Strikers, and the newly introduced team known as the Outer Delhi Warriors.
The Strikers might have been the semi-finalists in the last year, but their season was far from being perfect. The team barely scraped through in the top four with four wins and five losses in the ten games they played. Their highest run-scorer was Vaibhav Kandpal, who scored 314 runs, and highest wicket-taker was Siddharta Solanki with 13 wickets. They started the season with a new skipper in Champions Trophy-winning pacer Harshit Rana and though they might have started with a disappointing loss against the Central Delhi Kings, they will be looking to make a difference in their second game
The Warriors are the second new team in the tournament who are also being led by a paceman in Siddhant Sharma. The debutantes might not have started their season in great fashion having lost their first game to the New Delhi Tigers as they failed to chase down a massive total of 223 runs, but they managed to make a comeback in their second game against Purani Dilli 6 with an 82-run win on the back of an amazing spell by Suyash Sharma who finished with amazing figures of 4/17 in his four overs.
Though the North Delhi Strikers' recent form has been inconsistent this tournament, winning two and losing three in their last five games of the tournament
The Outer Delhi Warriors might have started their debut with a devastating loss, but came back stronger with a win in the following game.

The surface at the Arun Jaitley Stadium has been a batting-friendly surface in the ongoing tournament. Though there is some amount of grip for the spinners early on, the dew factor makes it easier for the batters to score runs.
Though the conditions might be cloudy at the venue, there are low chances of rain. The temperature expected at the ground is 28 degrees Celsius.
Both teams are expected to remain unchanged in the upcoming game
