West Indies beat Pakistan by two wickets in a low-scoring thriller in Florida on Sunday. Jason Holder picked up four wickets before hitting the winning four in the last ball of the match, during his unbeaten cameo, to help the side level the series with their first win in six T20Is.

‌West Indies were back to winning ways with a two-wicket win over Pakistan in a low-scoring thriller in the second T20I in Lauderhill, Florida, on Sunday. Jason Holder was the star of the match, recording an impressive spell of 4/19 before returning to hit the winning four off the last ball during his enterprising cameo. The former captain’s all-round performance helped the Windies win their first T20I in six matches and square the three-match series.

Opting to bat first at the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground, Pakistan could manage only a modest 133/9 in their allotted 20 overs. Hasan Nawaz top-scored for the visitors, smashing four sixes and a four in his 23-ball 40. Captain Salman Agha also chipped in with 38 runs as the duo’s 60-run partnership for the fifth wicket helped the side to a respectable total. For the hosts, Jason Holder was the wrecker-in-chief with a four-wicket haul in his four overs, while left-arm spinner Gudakesh Motie picked up two wickets.

In reply, the Windies huffed and puffed its way to 135/8 in a final-ball win after being reduced to 98/7 inside 17 overs. Motie was their top run-getter with a 20-ball 28, including two sixes and a four, but it was Holder’s unbeaten 10-ball 16 that carried the home side over the line in a dramatic last-ball finish. Left-arm spinner Mohammad Nawaz’s astonishing spell of 3/14 in four overs, along with Saim Ayub’s two-wicket haul, however, could not save the visitors from being subjected to their first loss in the series.
