MI vs LSG | Twitter in splits as Bishnoi pulls out 'Champion' celebration after slamming Bumrah for six

The best in the world have tried and failed, again and again -- on Sunday alone, four warriors sought to stop the Jasprit Bumrah juggernaut but fell face flat. Yet, the one man who managed to survive unscathed was Ravi Bishnoi, and the tailender added salt to the pacer's wounds for good measure.

Mumbai Indians registered a mammoth victory over the Lucknow Super Giants at the Wankhede on Sunday after the visitors came nowhere close to a mammoth target of 216. Quick knocks from the likes of Mitchell Marsh and Ayush Badoni meant there were some glimmers of hope for the visitors but Jasprit Bumrah halted the train on its tracks with a match-defining 16th over where he scalped three wickets and practcailly sealed the result in Mumbai's favour. Yet, perhaps the one moment he'll most remember from the match when night falls is what occurred in the next over, bringing a hilariously tragic end to a dream spell from the pacer.

Bumrah began his fourth and final over of the night with Princce Yadav up against him and after the pacer somehow managed to scramble a single on the third ball to bring Ravi Bishnoi on strike. The tailender looked self-assured as he confidently drove with elbows up to a fullish delivery before comfortably ducking under a surprise bumper. Everyone knew what was coming next -- a trademark Bumrah yorker -- yet that knowledge has barely ever helped the batters in surviving. However, Bishnoi is not cut from the same cloth, as he proved by digging deep into his crease to get under the Kookaburra and muscling it over long-on for a gorgeous six that had the whole stadium on alert.

The young spinner was unsurprisingly ecstatic after his effort as his fist pump soon turned into a full blown 'Champions' celebration as pioneered by the West Indian cricketing team, while the likes of Bumrah and Rishabh Pant could not help but giggle in marvel at the sight of the ball disappearing into the stands.
