RCB vs CSK | Twitter and Faf in awe of Virat Kohli’s clobbering hit sending the ball to Chinnaswamy's rooftop

With time, the game of cricket has evolved by leaps and bounds, and assaulting a bowler early in a T20 game is no rare sight. Virat Kohli just did the same by smoking a huge six against Tushar Deshpande as Royal Challengers Bengaluru squared off against Chennai Super Kings in a virtual semi-final.

With plenty to play for, the coin favoured Ruturaj Gaikwad in their last league stage match and he sent RCB to bat first. Opening the batting, Faf du Plessis and Kohli were observative against Deshpande in the first over before launching the ball around the park from the next over itself. The charge was further epitomised when Kohli produced a gargantuan hit off Deshpande halfway through the powerplay.

After a two-run first over, Tushar Deshpande pitched a short ball into Virat Kohli who shimmied a tad and picked the length of the ball to pull it over the deep square leg region. The timing of the stroke was so good that the ball marooned high and handsome to thud into the roof of the Chinnaswamy Stadium. Immediately, the camera caught the attention of RCB skipper Faf du Plessis who was awed by the gigantic 98-meter six off Kohli’s blade off sheer timing, sending the Twitterverse into a frenzy.

Wow! Wow! Wow!
