Luck can significantly influence outcomes, and sometimes players find themselves fortunate even when things don't go as planned. This was evident in the match between West Indies and Papua New Guinea, where Nicholas Pooran received a stroke of luck as his LBW decision went unreviewed by PNG.

‌West Indies had a favourable start after winning the toss and electing to bowl first, managing to dismiss three Papua New Guinea batters within the powerplay. However, Sese Bau's resilient innings of 50 runs off 43 deliveries helped PNG reach a total of 136/8 in their allotted 20 overs. In response, West Indies faced a setback early on when Johnson Charles was dismissed for a golden duck. Additionally, Nicholas Pooran received a stroke of luck in the second over, providing significant relief to the Caribbean team.

On the fourth ball of the second over, Alei Nao delivered a precise inswinger to Pooran. Attempting to defend, Pooran moved forward but failed to connect with the ball, resulting in it hitting his front pad between the off and middle stump. Despite the close call, Nao seemed hesitant to appeal, and PNG skipper Assad Vala opted not to review the decision, allowing the game to continue.

However, the ball tracking later revealed that the decision not to review was unfortunate, as the ball was shown to be pitching in line and crashing into the middle stump. Twitterverse was quick to react to PNG's bad luck, sparking discussions on social media.

How lucky is he?

That's not how you ignore him!

Now he's gonna make you sound 'WHY'

That was one god's delivery for them and missed on it!

That was a bad idea!

Big one was in the nets but missed it!

Damn!!!

That's the problem now!
