‌AUS vs IND | Twitter reacts to Cummins leading from the front to dent India in the shortest BGT encounter

Australia hammered India by ten wickets in hand in the second Test at the Adelaide Oval. Indian batters failed to withstand the Aussie pink ball attack as Pat Cummins scalped a fifer to break the Indian lower order before the openers chalked out 19-run target with no hiccups to equalize the series.

The Australian pacers were fueled with energy after an advantageous couple of days on the second day at the Adelaide Oval. Mitchell Starc struck in the first over of the third day after outsmarting Rishabh Pant. From the opposite end, Pat Cummins bowled sharp bumpers to remove Ravichandran Ashwin, and Harshit Rana in no time. Nitish Reddy seemed the only soldier fighting hard with a mix of caution and aggression but was soon outdone by the Aussie skipper’s bouncer trap. After struggling to surpass the lead, the tail whipped around to get India an 18-run lead.

In response, it was just a matter of time before Australia bounced back in the series. Nathan McSweeney caressed a few lovely drives to set the tone before Usman Khawaja hit the winning runs and won the game by ten wickets in hand. This was the shortest Border Gavaskar Trophy encounter in terms of balls (1081) bowled.

Awful!
