Multi-sporting talent is a thing when you’re Steve Smith. The Australian star batter, who was seen sharing the same tennis court with the GOAT Novan Djokovic donned the tennis racket during Australia’s practice session for the pink ball Test against India at the Adelaide Oval on Tuesday.

Following a 295-run defeat against India at the Optus Stadium, Perth, India lead the five-match Border Gavaskar Trophy 1-0. The hosts were derailed in their backyard after the Men in Blue under Jasprit Bumrah’s leadership breached Perth. With a ten-day gap in between, both sides indulged in intense practice sessions including a two-day warm-up fixture for the Indians against Prime Minister’s XI at the Manuka Oval, Canberra. After India won the particular contest, the action shifted to their net sessions with Smith seemingly using the tennis rackets to his use.

As the Australian cricket team took to the training on Tuesday morning, the batters and the bowlers were seen in intensified action. However, the limelight shifted to Smith who was seen using a tennis racket to showcase some forehand mastery. One of the Aussie support staffs threw the white cherry at him while Smudge tried to jab at it with a steady stance. Cricketers using methods from other sports to train themselves is not new but Smith, who was seen in the tennis court with the great Djokovic, a few months ago seemed to be the buzz among the Twitterverse.
