Cricket is a game that can unite people and sometimes the banter on the field reflects that unity humorously. Such was the case in the match between Rajasthan Royals and Punjab Kings where Avesh Khan shared a light-hearted moment with Jitesh Sharma while the hosts were batting at Mullanpur.

Winning the toss proved advantageous for the Rajasthan Royals who swiftly removed Punjab opener Atharva Taida in the fourth over. The misfortune for Punjab continued as Prabhsimran Singh. struggling for form this season departed in the seventh over with the scoreboard reading 42/2. Punjab's batting lineup further faltered losing Jonny Bairstow and Sam Curran in quick succession reducing them to 53/4 by the 10th over. Adding to their woes, their rising star Shashank Singh also fell early in the 13th over, his first dismissal this season. However, Jitesh Sharma and Liam Livingstone steadied the ship with a 33-run partnership, guiding Punjab to 103/5 by the 16th over. Amidst the intensity of the match, a lighthearted moment unfolded in the 17th over involving Jitesh Sharma and Avesh Khan.

As Avesh geared up to bowl the first delivery of the 17th over Jitesh faced issues with the sight screen and requested the Rajasthan pacer to halt his run-up. Although Avesh initially appeared displeased with the interruption, he soon shared a smile with Jitesh and playfully aimed the ball at him eliciting laughter from both players. This banter continued as Avesh dismissed Jitesh with the very first ball of the next over, marking his celebration with a comical jump right in front of the Vidarbha based-batter as Jitesh walked back to the pavilion.

The Twitterverse found amusement in Avesh's on-field antics sparking discussions across social media platforms.
