IND vs WI 2022 | Twitter reacts as India beat West Indies by 8 runs to win series

India beat West Indies in the second T20I to win the three-match series. Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant were the stars with the bat as both of them scored 52 which helped India post 186 after being put in to bat by West Indies. India lost Ishan Kishan early on in the innings and just when Rohit Sharma was looking good, he too got dismissed. Suryakumar Yadav had a forgettable outing as he managed to score just 8 runs in the match.

However, the partnership between Rishabh Pant and Venkatesh Iyer powered India to post a total which turned out to be match-winning in the end.  

Nicholas Pooran (62 off 41) and Rowman Powell (68 off 36) played brilliantly for the visitors as both scored half-centuries but it was not enough. Pooran walked out to bat at number three and survived a dropped chance early in his innings when he hit a shot straight to mid-wicket where Ravi Bishnoi dropped the catch on Yuzvendra Chahal's bowling.

Pooran and Powell stitched a 100 run partnership for the fourth wicket which almost took the game away from India. Rowman Powell was also dropped by Bhuvneshwar Kumar of his own bowling on the third ball of the 16th over. 

India and West Indies will play the final match of the series on Sunday as the visitors will be hoping to get a consolation win in an already wrapped series.
