Nayan Mongia demands Baroda Cricket Association to pay for his services as mentor

Former India keeper Nayan Mongia has demanded his remuneration from the Baroda Cricket Association for the services he had provided as the mentor of its junior teams. Recently, Amin had alleged that Mongia had functioned like a dictator when he was the mentor of Baroda Under-16 and Under- 19 teams.
Holding a press conference in Baroda, Mongia said that he took up the assignment at the request of outgoing BCA president Pranav Amin, former national selector Kiran More and Rakesh Patel and was promised a remuneration which is still pending. After Mongia rendered his services, recently, Amin, in a press conference on Tuesday, had alleged that the former Indian stumper functioned like a dictator.
“As a professional, it is my right to demand payment for rendering my services. When I demanded payment, Amin declined citing one or the other reason,” Mongia said, reported Sportstar.
Mongia, who had played 44 Tests and 140 ODIs for India, outrightly refuted the Amin's claims by saying he had brought it to the BCA’s notice the poor condition of the ground where junior cricketers trained, as well as the lack of infrastructure for them.
It is to be noted that Mongia had represented Baroda all his life and when match-fixing allegations were levelled against him, he was left out from the squad, then in favour of Deep Dasgupta and Parthiv Patel, before MS Dhoni made the position his own.
