During the captain’s press conference, Virat Kohli has said that India-Pakistan game is very different for players from what the fans feel. Kohli has also added that once the players enter the field, it’s very professional and it’s just another game for them that they need to win as a team.

Any match between arch-rivals India and Pakistan is a high-voltage one, the intensity and level of excitement scale newer heights when these two teams lock horns. However, Indian skipper Virat Kohli has said that the feeling is totally different for players than what the fans feel. Kohli has also stated that once the players take the field it is strictly professional and it’s just another game for them, which they need to conquer as a unit.

“I think India-Pakistan is always a much-anticipated match. We keep saying again and again. If you ask the players, it’s very different from how the fans feel. Yes, we feel the anticipation and excitement when we enter the stadium. But as soon as you enter the field, it’s very professional,” Kohli said reported IANS.

“It’s just another game you need to win as a team. Yes, it brings pressure because the atmosphere in the stadium is very different. But as soon as we enter the ground, it’s a game of cricket for all of us. We keep saying this again and again, but that’s the truth,” he said.

India have a better record against Pakistan in ICC tournaments, having lost just a solitary game since the inception. In this edition, India play Pakistan on June 16 at Old Trafford and the anticipation for the same is on a high for the fans.
