Virat Kohli has lavished praise on the Indian cricket squad after their most recent win against New Zealand in the five-match ODI series which made it three wins from three matches. Kohli and Rohit Sharma guided India to a seven-wicket win against Kane Williamson & Co. at the Bay Oval on Monday.

The Indian cricket team registered another resounding win in the ongoing five-match ODI series against New Zealand. Virat Kohli & Co. secured a 3-0 lead, which meant that there was no way the hosts to catch up to them and secured a series win as a result. The Indian skipper (60) and opener Rohit Sharma (62) starred for the visitors which helped them secure a seven-wicket win at the Bay Oval on Monday.

"Amazing, three clinical games from us, relentlessness of the side pleasing. Haven't had a break for a while, hectic Australia tour and now this. We are three-nil up so I can relax a little. Some outstanding talent coming through. Saw Shubman batting in the nets, I wasn't even 10 percent of that at 19." Kohli said in a post-match interview.

Meanwhile, losing captain Kane Williamson lavished praise on middle-order batsman Ross Taylor, who missed out on a century as he admitted that the home team failed to pick up early wickets in the second innings.

"They are teaching us a lesson and we are required to rise up to the challenge. There were small improvements today but we need more. Wasn't easy to get momentum on this wicket, Ross was brilliant. With the ball, we are going okay but we need early wickets", Williamson said.

Indian pacer Mohammed Shami, who was awarded the player-of-the-match for his spell of 3-41, praised his fellow compatriots in the Indian bowling department who put in an exceptional performance once again.

“It's really difficult to bowl against the wind. One comes with the wind and the other is against it. Bhuvi (Bhuvneshwar Kumar) at the other end was also a great help. Sticking to areas where we want to bowl was the key.”
