Aussie pacer Kane Richardson has been ruled out of the remaining games in the ongoing tour to India after sustaining an injury. Kane had reported a left side pain before the first T20I and the Australian team has announced Andrew Tye as Kane’s replacement for the ODI games against India.

Australia's physiotherapist David Beakley revealed that Kane had reported some left side pain during the training session prior to the first T20 game in Vizag and now he has been ruled out of the tour. The 28-year-old South Australia pacer has not recovered from that and he will now be replaced by Western Australia’s Tye for the upcoming five-match ODI series. Tye will join the squad along with top-order batsman Shaun Marsh in Hyderabad before the first ODI.

"Kane reported some left side pain at training prior to the opening T20I in Vizag. Unfortunately he has not recovered well enough in order to play a further part in the tour. Kane will return home to continue his rehabilitation, and we monitor his progress over the coming weeks," told Beakley, reported Cricbuzz.

The 32-year-old pacer has played seven ODIs so far in his career and has claimed 12 wickets while Kane has 27 wickets from 18 games in the 50-over format for the Aussies.
