Twitter reacts to Virat Kohli trolling Kesrick Williams with his own ‘Notebook’ celebration

Like the diligent and competitive student that he is, Virat Kohli does his homework well. As was seen during the proceedings of the first T20I between India and West Indies wherein he gave Windies pacer Kesrick Williams a taste of his own medicine, precisely his famous ‘Notebook’ celebration.

The stage was already heated up with the interactions between Kohli and Williams and one might wonder why would the Indian skipper get agitated like he used to previously than play his own game. However, not at any point did Kohli let the heat of the moment get to his batting as he went on scoring heavily in the 208 run chase. But as the two kept facing each other, Kohli’s rage got adding up with recurrent glimpses of him arguing with the umpires and swearing after each delivery. The Indian captain then decided to give a final answer and send across a message in no uncertain terms. Using his graceful elegance, Kohli hammered a six over long on and waited for the bowler to look back when he greeted Williams with the bowlers own ‘Notebook’ celebration that went viral in the year 2007 in a CPL game. Also, it wasn’t the first time that this celebration became a part of the duo’s encounter, only that two years back Kohli was at the receiving end. Williams had send off Kohli in a similar way. And the King decided to take his long due revenge today!

This is what happened!

Be it leadership, doing wonders with the bat or even fielding, Rohit Sharma is a genuine all-rounder. However, what the Indian vice-captain pulled off during the first T20I proceedings between India and West Indies was rather shocking as Rohit went from hero to zero in the blink of an eye.
