Sachin Tendulkar continued to express his support for the Indian Women’s cricket team as he now put up a post for the bowler Rajeshwari Gayakwad. Earlier, the 44-year old, put up posts for Indian skipper Mithali Raj, Jhulan Goswami, Deepti Sharma and Harmanpreet Kaur.

There is no usually any need of an introduction for a player of the Indian cricket team but ironically people have less interest in the Indian Women’s cricket. With the women's cricketers continuing to excel at the ongoing Women's World Cup, the Master Blaster has taken up the responsibility to introduce the women’s squad through social media. Yesterday, he posted about Gayakwad and called her a source of inspiration for many young men and women. Tendulkar also credited her father for her success as he encouraged her to perform better.

India’s final league match against New Zealand in the ongoing ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup was a do-or-die encounter. In that match, the left-arm spinner’s outstanding five-for (5/15) helped India thrash New Zealand by 186 runs and enter the semifinals. Gayakwad was selected as the player of the match for her career-best performance.

Earlier, Tendulkar had put up similar posts on social media introducing and sharing facts and tales on other members of the Indian women's cricket team - Mithali Raj, Jhulan Goswami, Deepti Sharma, and Harmanpreet Kaur.
