ICC lifts bowling ban over Taskin Ahmed and Arafat Sunny

The ICC has lifted bans over the Bangladeshi duo of Taskin Ahmed and Arafat Sunny on Friday after being satisfied with their modified bowling actions. The pair was reported by the match officials after Bangladesh’s match against the Netherlands in Dharamsala on March 9 in the World T20.
"The umpires are free to report Arafat and Taskin in the future if they believe they use a suspect action," the ICC said in a release.
Bangladesh's World Cup T20 campaign came in for a heavy shock when the ICC handed over bans to pacer Taskin Ahmed and spinner Arafat Sunny for suspect bowling action.
"The International Cricket Council (ICC) today announced that independent assessments have found the bowling actions of Bangladesh's Arafat Sunny and Taskin Ahmed to be illegal and, as such, both the bowlers have been suspended from bowling in international cricket with immediate effect," said ICC’s official statement back then.
However, the Bangladesh Cricket Board(BCB) did make an appeal to the ICC to reconsider the ban handed over to pacer Taskin Ahmed, but the governing body turned it down after a review hearing. Both bowlers' actions were reassessed at the National Cricket Centre in Brisbane on September 8 and their elbow extensions were found to be within the permissible limit of 15 degrees.
With Bangladesh set to play three ODIs at home against Afghanistan later this month followed by three ODIS and two Tests against a visiting England side, this announcement will come as a huge boost for them.
