According to reports, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has sought the help of Indian Test captain Virat Kohli to decide the next coach of the Indian cricket team. The Cricket Advisory Committee had conducted the interviews yesterday, and the BCCI likely to announce the coach soon.

After the initial scrutiny last week, the BCCI had reduced the list of applicants for the post of Indian national team coach from 57 to 21. The governing body had assigned the Cricket Advisory Committee, which consists of Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, and VVS Laxman, with the task of interviewing the candidates before recommending their choice to the BCCI president Anurag Thakur.

The committee conducted the interviews of the six shortlisted candidates in Kolkata on Tuesday. , Anil Kumble, Ravi Shastri, Praveen Amre, Lalchand Rajput, Tom Moody, and Stuart Law were among the six shortlisted candidates. After the interview, the Cricket Advisory Committee narrowed the selection process down to just two candidates with Kumble and Shastri leading it.
